Status Update

Tackling anti-social behaviour in Rhyl town centre remains a priority for the neighbourhood policing team (NPT). The NPT are working closely with partner agencies and youth justice to tackle ASB involving youths. We also continue to enforce the Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) to prevent ASB and crime associated with street drinking.

Retail crime: Marina Quay

Status Update

Tackling and reducing retail crime on the Marina Quay retail park is a priority for the neighbourhood policing team. We have created patrol plans to be visible on the park at key times, whilst also deploying plain clothed officers to target shoplifters. Our prevention hub are also working with retailers to provide crime prevention advice.

Status Update

Following community concern over youth ASB in Pentre Mawr park in Abergele, our Neighbourhood Team have been increasing high visibility patrols in the area, as well as working with partner agencies to tackle these issues. This has included joint working, increasing CCTV coverage, improving lighting and signage. Youth engagement in schools and in the community has also been increased to educate and discourage offending.
